“Ch. Storybook’s Rendition of Jeamar, CD, CGC”

Joy is the word that best describes “Murphy”. She has the same wonderful, pleasing mischievous personality as her dam, Ch. Storybook’s Autographed Copy, “Page”. As a matter-of-fact, a lot of her mother’s personality!

She came to us from our third litter, which was our Ch. Storybook’s Rip It Up, SOM, “Jake’s”, first litter, and she is his first champion. She is also the first champion for “Page”.

Both “Page” and “Jake” being brindle, we expected a mostly, if not all, brindle litter. In fact, of the 7 puppies in the litter, “Murph” was the ONLY brindle, the rest being all fawn. She was also the only flashy bitch.

Her story really goes back to our foundation bitch, Am/Cn Champion Showline’s Storytime, “Story”. We were having so much fun showing “Story”, we had to share our fun with the breeders of “Story’s” dam, Mary Lou Carroll and Jean Mattheiss. We became good friends over the phone lines. They wanted to purchase “Page” from us when she was a puppy, but we just could not let her go. When we decided to breed “Page”, we promised that if there were a flashy bitch, they could buy her. Well, “Murphy” made sure she was the only flashy bitch and off she went on her first car ride at eight weeks old on a snowy January morning in Minnesota across the country to Maryland.

She finished her title quickly to become “Jake’s” first champion, and then went on enthusiastically to earn her Companion Dog degree on three consecutive days. On a whim at the 2003 ABC, Jean and Mary Lou surprised Murphy by entering her, with no preparation, for the Canine Good Citizen test! She MAY agree to Agility training in the future.

She happily passes her time these days being a normal boxer --- singing Christmas carols, sorting her squeak toys, taking long walks, napping on her personalized bean bag OR her huge lambskin, and traveling the country, checking out and guarding the campsites for her two best friends.
