Degree for a Boxer to breeding the
Number One Working Dog in 2000, and the nation’s number five Dog
All-Breeds! With a few exceptions, Skip has handled all our homebred
champions to their titles gathering several group ones along the way. His
second group one was with a puppy dog out of our first litter, Ch.
Storybook’s Happily Evr After. At the Minneapolis Kennel Club show in
November of 1994 this puppy dog went from the puppy class to Best in Breed
to a Group One. A tough way to get a major, but that was “Bogey’s” way!
Our breeding program began by taking us across the country in search of
that perfect foundation bitch. After two years searching and about to give
up, a friend and handler, Dave Gray and his wife Cindy, introduced us to a
breeder who just happened to have an 11 week old flashy brindle bitch
available. We decided to take a look and fell in love with our soon to be
foundation bitch, American/Canadian Champion Showline’s Storytime.
Appropriately named “Story” because of her deep black eyes that told us
stories everyday of how she couldn’t possibly have done that terrible
naughty deed because just look at how innocent she looked!
At 2 years, 1 month old “Story” finished at the Missouri

Show under Irene Bivin. She then went on to win her Canadian championship
in one weekend as well as a Canadian Group 1, which garnered her an
invitation to the Canadian Classic, reserved for those dogs winning Group
One’s in Canada. About three weeks into her first and only whelp, “Story”
shined on that special night in Canada and was the only bitch to place in
that elite Canadian Classic group ring coming home with a Group 3.
When “Story” was bred to American/Canadian Champion Golden Haze Tuxedo,
SOM, LOM, she whelped 6 beautiful puppies in the late fall of 1993. Three
from that litter finished, owner handled by Skip. And that was the
beginning!
