Exactly what her name implies “Demi” is – Spring Loaded. When she was 6 weeks old she routinely would scale (like Spiderwoman) a 42” high exercise pen, climb a steep stairway and join the family in whatever we were doing at the moment. When the litter was out of their confined area, she would fly through the house or yard as if on wings, sailing over the heads of her brothers and sisters like a streak. She entered the show ring at 6 months old with her brothers. Skip again showed and finished her. She received her first 3 point major out of the 9-12 puppy class under Judge Madeline Fish whose unsolicited comment was “she moves like the wind”. Her second major was 5 points and won going Best of Winners at The Central Iowa Kennel Club show, also from the 9-12 puppy class under Judge Houston Clark. She finished at 13 months old. She was bred to Ch. CherKei’s Al Pacino and produced one champion, American/Canadian Champion Storybook’s Crazy for Tickitbou, “Nick”. Her favorite past time these days is lying outside in the sun on a cool day, or under the big oak in the paddock always with an eye open to the unsuspecting chipmunk who happened to take a wrong turn. Our daughter Brooke early on gave her the nickname “Doozer” – and that she is!
